SAP Knowledge Base Article - PublicSymptom
After importing address information to location objects via Import Foundation Data Tool, all translations for the objects are lost.
Environment
Foundation Objects (Organisation, Pay and Job Structures)
Reproducing the Issue
- Download the import file from Import Foundation Data Tool for Location
- Fill the template with the information you wish to import
- Upload the file for Location in Incremental mode
- Go to Manage Pay and Org > Location > translations are wiped out
Cause
This process is importing data for new time slice. This is the expected behaviour as the translations doesn't exist for newly created records.
Resolution
Translation should be maintained via Import and Export Data Tool.
