3571702 - Custom Field Not Copied from Delivery Header to Warehouse Header in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

A custom field 'YY1_PRINTER' was created and enabled for business scenarios. However, the value of this field does not get copied from VL02N to 'Manage Outbound Delivery Orders' app. The issue occurs despite following the guidelines in the 'App Extensibility: Manage Outbound Delivery Orders' documentation.

Environment

  • SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a custom field 'YY1_PRINTER' and enable the business scenarios.
  2. Add the custom field in VL02N and fill it with a value.
  3. Check the 'Manage Outbound Delivery Orders' app. The value of the custom field is not updated.

Resolution

  1. Verification: Ensure the custom field 'YY1_PRINTER' is created and enabled for relevant business scenarios, as per the documentation:App Extensibility: Manage Outbound Delivery Orders | SAP Help Portal
  2. LE to EWM: Any changes made to the 'Printer' field on VL02N app (LE) side will be automatically transported to the 'Manage Outbound Delivery Orders' app (EWM) side upon saving.
  3. EWM to LE: Changes made to the 'Printer' field on the 'Manage Outbound Delivery Orders' app (EWM)  will not sync back to the VL02N app (LE) side by simply clicking the "Save" button. To sync changes back to the LE side, you must set the delivery status to "Ready for Shipping". This action will transport the updated information, ensuring the 'Printer' field matches on both sides.
