Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
Reproducing the Issue
- First, you must have a termination record and a rehiring record in the middle of other records.
- Delete the termination record
- Delete the rehiring record
- The employee status of the following rehiring record has changed to inactive:
Cause
Expected behavior.
Resolution
- Forward Propagation does not occur when a record is Deleted via Job History.
- Forward propagation works only when we Insert a new Job Information record through either Job History or Take Action (MSS UI).
- There is no way to delete the propagation. You will need to update each one of the records with the changes.
Note: Though it is currently possible to delete the Termination records from Job Information History UI, this action may cause data inconsistencies. The recommended way to remove all reference to the Termination in both Job History and Termination Details is to Full Purge Import the Users Job History without the termination record as per KBA 2317955 - Correct or Remove Job Information record via Import in Full Purge mode.
