3571842 - Tenant configuration in SAC add-in with Office 2021

Symptom

When using SAP Analytics Cloud add-in with Office 2021 for Windows, is is impossible to do the tenant configuration, so SAC tenants that do not end with hcs.cloud.sap cannot be accessed.

SAP Analytics Cloud, add-in for Microsoft Excel

Reproducing the Issue

Try to login to a tenant with SAC add-in, that requires tenant configuration using Office 2021.

Cause

Microsoft365 admin center is not available for Office 2021.

Resolution

There are two workarounds:

By creating a new FQDN for the tenant, it can be accessible with a link ending with hcs.cloud.sap. Request a new FQDN, by creating an incident under LOD-ANA-OF-XLA
Using manual deployment of the addin, the configuration can be done locally, but this needs to be done by EVERY user - and needs to be updated frequently. Details are in KBA 3289328 - Deploying SAC add-in for Microsoft Office - when you do not have access to Microsoft Store.
