3572515 - Table hyperlinks can be displayed on measure values after 2024 QRC4 update in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

After 2024 QRC4 update, hyperlinks are now able to be displayed on measures in table widgets.

Environment

After SAP Analytics Cloud 2024 QRC 4.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the story.
  2. Apply hyperlinks to one dimension.
  3. Remove the dimension from table axis.
  4. Notice that hyperlinks are now added to measure values.

Cause

Improvements after 2024 QRC4 update.

Resolution

In optimized view mode, present mode, embed mode, Lite Viewer, and mobile apps, the table has been improved for better performance and usability. These improvements are automatically available when certain criteria are met. For details, see Table Improvements in View, Present, and Embed Mode (Optimized). 

For Hyperlinks, these improvements are:

  1. The Show/Hide Hyperlinks option is now available in the table context menu rather than in the table details.
  2. When the hyperlinks are displayed, they are always displayed.

Typically, in this workflow, when the dimension used as parameter in the hyperlink URL is removed from table axis, then the hyperlinks are displayed on the measures.
