3572849 - How to restrict access to Customer Insights inside Customers

Symptom

It is desired to know how to control which users have access to Customer Insights tab inside Accounts or Individual Customer BOs.

Resolution

The Customer Insights tab can be restricted in Accounts through Business Action Restrictions, as documented in Business Access Restrictions in Customer Insights

 

For a given business role, the following business actions are available:

  • CUSTOMER_INSIGHTS_ACC_VIEW: to enable/disable Customer Insights view in Account details page.
  • CUSTOMER_INSIGHTS_CUST_VIEW: to enable/disable Customer Insights view in Individual Customer details page.
  • RECOMMENDATION_VIEW: to enable/disable recommendation view in Account list view.

 

Please follow below steps to restrict Customer Insights:

  1. Go to Administrator > General Settings > Business Roles
  2. Select role and click on the Edit.
  3. Navigate to Fields & Actions tab and click on Add Row under "Business Action Restrictions" section.
