Symptom
When accessing the Appointments view and expanding the advanced search, the Category field defaults to an exclude filter with the value "!(|Visit;)". Even after deleting this value and clicking "Go," it reappears automatically.
Additionally, even creating a custom query with the value removed will still display it.
Environment
SAP Cloud for Customer
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Activities > Appointments.
- Select filter 'All' or any other.
- Click on advanced search icon.
- Category field already has value "!(|Visit;)".
- Click to exclude the filter.
- Click on Save Query now.
- Change the name for the filter and apply.
- See the Category field will automatically have the "!(|Visit;)" displayed again.
Cause
The "Visit" filter in the Appointments query is a standard feature that cannot be permanently removed. This is because the filter is designed to include or exclude specific types of Appointments, such as "Customer Visit" or "Annual Visit." While this filter may not change the number of records displayed, it is a default setting that cannot be altered at the application level.
Resolution
This is the system expected behavior.
