3572889 - SAC Import Job Rejected Records Count

Symptom

  • SAP Analytics Cloud has a documented limitation of 2000 rejected records available to download as an .xls file
  • If there are more than 2000 rejected records, is it possible to gain access to the entire list?

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

1. Create Planning Model

2. Create Import job with existing connection

3. Use multiple values in filter to import transactional data

4. Finish mapping and import data

5. Download rejection summary, the count is always 2000 irrespective of total rejected count.

Resolution

The internal table that stores the rejection data is not exposed.

The 2000 values (per rule per person) is a data volume safeguard. We know that it may not contain all the data values. However, usually multiple values are rejected for the same dimension in a similar manner, and can be resolved in the same way; thus the 2000 rejection is a way to give the user an insight about the nature of the rejection even though it is not exhaustive to all values.

It is not possible to gain access to values outside of what is available when you download the rejection summary.
