3573057 - Enhanced WBS Element Search function is not available when acting as an administrator (Proxy) for other users - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

When acting as an administrator (Proxy)  for other users and creating a new report in Concur, the Enhanced WBS Element Search function is not available, the following error occurs when clicking 'Open'.

1. Acting as a Proxy in Concur.

Standard behavior.

The Enhanced WBS Element feature is not supported when acting as a proxy. When creating a new expense report and clicking the "Open" button for the Enhanced WBS Element Search, the system sends the content of Custom 17 (Personal Number) and the Company Code to S/4HANA. Normally, the Personal Number and Company Code will appear directly in the Enhanced WBS Element Search screen, as they come from Concur. However, if acting as a proxy, this information cannot be sent to S/4HANA, which is why an error occurs when clicking "Open".

As described in the KBA 3314928 - SAP ICS: How to Activate the Enhanced WBS Element Search - SAP for Me, a prerequisite for the Enhanced WBS Element Search feature is 'Ensure that the value maintained in field Custom17 in SAP Concur can determine the personnel number in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud system'. It is essential to avoid acting as a proxy for another user when using the Enhanced WBS Element Search function, otherwise, the system will not be able to retrieve the Custom17 from Concur.
