3573062 - ALLOCATED_PAGES is zero after setting hugepages in Oracle database on SUSE Linux - NetWeaver

Symptom

  • Follow the steps in note 1672954  to implement hugepages on the OS side.
    1672954 - Oracle 11g, 12c, 18c and 19c: Usage of hugepages on Linux

  • But ALLOCATED_PAGES is zero after setting hugepages in Oracle database on SUSE Linux.
    Supported system pagesize(s):

  • The OS parameter /proc/sys/vm/hugetlb_shm_group is not set to Oracle softerware group(dba/oinstall).
