Symptom
- While configuring an SMTP mail destination in SAP Build Process Automation (SBPA), an error is encountered during the email testing phase.
- The mail server is coming from Microsoft Azure.
- The error message displayed is "An unexpected error has occurred due to missing SMTP configuration".
- When SAP Support check internal logs, could find following error:
Mail server configuration error: com.sap.ipa.lib.email.dto.EmailResult@77aa2260[emailLogStatus=ERROR,error=Optional[com.sap.ipa.lib.email.dto.EmailError@7260ff7a[rejectedRecipients=[],type=MAIL_ERROR_LOADING_DESTINATION,validRecipients=[]]],message=Failed to read authentication token of destination 'sap_process_automation_mail'. The destination service responded with an error: 'AADSTS50034: The user account {EUII Hidden} does not exist in the XXX directory. To sign into this application, the account must be added to the directory. Trace ID: XXX Correlation ID: XXX Timestamp: 202X-XX-XX'. In case only the properties of a destination should be accessed, without performing authorization flows, please use the 'getDestinationProperties' method on 'DestinationService' instead.]
- If customer check logs from Azure, could find similar error as above.
