3573230 - SAP Data Services or SAP Information Steward Upgrade is Not Reflected in the inventory.txt File

Symptom

  • The upgrade process of Information Steward fails with the following error message:
    "4.x SPx Patch x or higher version of SAP Information Platform Services or BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform is not installed on this machine. Or SAP BusinessObjects BI platform Client Tools has been detected, but 4.x SPx Patch x or higher version is not installed on this machine."
  • After upgrading Data Services, the installer confirms success, but the new version is not reflected in the inventory.txt file.
