3573467 - Excessive Purchase Orders Creation After Employee Transfer

Symptom

Purchase Orders being created for old project for employees that were transfer from one company to another.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Purchase Requests and Orders work center.
  2. Select Purchase Orders view.
  3. Search for a specific Purchase Order.

Observe that the document was created from an old Project which ended in a previous year.

Cause

The issue is caused by an active Mass Data Run (MDR) job for Project Purchase Request (PPR). The PPRs are being created for the services listed under the "Services" tab and are based on the schedule job.

Resolution

  1. Go to Project Management work center.
  2. Select the Project Purchase Request Runs view.
  3. Identify the active MDR job for PPR.
  4. Decide on one of the following actions: remove the Services, restrict them to specific Projects instead of Services, change the schedule job, or deactivate the MDRs PPR run.
  5. Implement the chosen solution.
