3573513 - Error "Tax number type X is invalid for the country/region code YZ" being displayed

When selecting a Tax Country/Region and the related Tax Type, and then changing the Country, system is not automatically changing or deleting the Type according to the new Country selected. 

Also, error message "Tax number type X is invalid for the country/region code YZ" is displayed. (While X represents the Country number and YZ the country abbreviation name).

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to Customers > Accounts.
2. Open an Account.
3. Go to Tax Numbers tab.
4. Click on Add.
5. In the Tax Country/Region field enter a country, for example "Brazil".
6. In the Tax Number Type select an option, for example "VAT registration number for companies (CNPJ)".
7. Now change the Country to another one as"Andorra".
8. Now save without changing the Tax Type.
9. See the Country is maintained but the Type which was "CNPJ" is a random value that doesn't belong to the selected Country.
10. Error "Tax number type 2 is invalid for the country/region code AD" is shown. (The number and the country abbreviation will change according to the country selected, this is just an example).

The Tax Country was changed after a Tax Type was already selected. 

This is the expected system behavior.

The Tax Type always needs to be selected after selecting or changing the Tax Country. Even though when the Country is changed and the Type value is not automatically deleted, the system will raise error messages stating the combination is not valid.

The value in the field being automatically deleted once the query is changed, is not necessarily a behavior that will occur for every dependent field. In C4C some fields will have the value deleted depending of a certain action, while others not - but this will be handled with an error message to prevent users for saving wrong data and causing inconsistencies in the business scenario.
