3573635 - Limited Selection of Employees as "Employee Responsible" in SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Symptom

In the SAP S/4HANA Cloud system, only 37 employees can be selected as "Employee Responsible", despite the need for several hundred to be available for selection.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Attempt to add a business partner in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud system.
  2. Pre-select the Partner Role as ER.
  3. Notice that only 37 employees are available for selection as "Employee Responsible".

Cause

The issue arises because the Partner Role is pre-selected as ER when choosing a business partner. As a result, it filters the business partners to only those with the Partner Function Type set to PE, which is why only 37 options are displayed.

Resolution

  1. Navigate to the page where business partners are added.
  2. Click on "show filters".
  3. Set the Partner Function Type to blank.
  4. All business partners should now be viewable.
