3573644 - Error "Maximum value for Year to is 9998 due to fiscal year variant" when maintaining cost rate

Error "Maximum value for Year to is 9998 due to fiscal year variant" raised in app 'Manage Cost Rates -  Services'.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 

This error is intentional.

In the release 2502, we added/fixed this check to address a bug that previously allowed setting the End Fiscal Year to 9999.
The correct maximum year is 9998 because some fiscal year variants allow a longer fiscal period than the calendar year.

Please consider the following scenarios:

1. Creation of New Cost Rates
   • UI Application: The maximum allowed value for the Year To field is 9998.
   • API: If the year 9999 is used in the ValidityEndFiscalYearPeriod parameter, it must be changed to 9998.
2. Existing Cost Rates
   • No action is required.
