Symptom
After approving workflows for changes to dependent records the workflow details are emptied.
Approved workflows for dependent changes are displayed empty and only "Add Dependent" or "Delete Dependent" workflow display history of changed data.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the profile of an employee who already have a dependent;
- Make any change to the dependent's record;
- Approval Workflow will be triggered;
- Proxy as the Workflow Approver;
- See the Pending Workflow displays all details for the changed data;
- Approve the Workflow;
- Now go to Manage Workflow Requests and see the workflow no longer displays the changed information. Only the Workflow type, Initiator, Effective Date and Workflow Participants.
Cause
This is a known gap. Completed change dependent workflow is always displayed empty and it has been this way since the beginning.
Resolution
Engineering Team plans to fix this with a new Workflow Detail page in a version after b2511 as part of ECT-241680.
There is still no target release for ECT-241680 because developing a new Workflow Details page is a huge project that requires multiple teams’ joint effort.
