3574315 - Error 'Project does not exist' in Revenue Recognition Run

Symptom

  • App "Run Revenue recognition - Projects" gives error 'No WBS element found'
  • App "Run Revenue recognition - Projects" gives error 'Project does not exist'

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2502

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the app 'Run Revenue Recognition - Projects'
  2. Enter the selection parameters, enter the Project Definition / WBS element
  3. Schedule the job, the error is obtained.

Resolution

The issue has been noted by the development team and we are working on the fix. The exact date by which this will be implemented in the system is not yet know.

However, for now there are a few workarounds:

  1. For the WBS element Z-1234-01, try using the option of 'define condition' -> 'Contains' ='Z123401'. '*Z123401*'.
  2. Manually input WBS/Project in internal format in the Run Revenue Recognition application job (=Z123401) - remove slash (/) or dashes (-) or any other special character, for example for WBS Z-1234-01 use Z123401.

In case of reversal, as a workaround enter the Journal entries that has to be reversed (instead of the project ID) while using the template 'Reverse Revenue Recognition - Project Manager'.

The issue is planned to be fixed via Hotfix collection 6 HFC6 (14th - 16th March).
