3574487 - Error Occurs While Saving Mappings in Document Generation

• An error message occurs while attempting to save changes made on the Manage Document Template Mapping page to the selected template's placeholders.
• The error message displayed is "An error occurred while saving the mappings."

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Document Generation

1. Navigate to Manage Document Template Mapping.
2. Select Template
3. Add a mapping to a placeholder
4. Click Save
5. The following error reflects: "An error occurred while saving the mappings." 

 The error is indicating that the template is corrupted. The template itself has several time slices that can cause inconsistencies.

If you need to modify an existing template, use the "Make Correction" option, not "Insert New Record", as having multiple records for the same template isn’t recommended.

In Manage Document Template, unnecessary time slices need to be removed or a new template needs to be created.
