3574627 - Rounding error in net rate of Manage Project Billing

In the process of project billing, bookings of partial hours may be calculated with a different hourly rate than other bookings.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Navigate to the Manage Project Billing application.
2. Select a project with posting of, for example, 0.5 hours.
3. Observe the calculated Net Rate for these bookings.

• The system calculates the amount for 0.5 hours based on the condition record maintained (118.75 EUR per 1 hour).
• This calculation results in a value of 59.375 EUR, which is rounded to 59.38 EUR.
• The net rate for 1 hour is then recalculated based on this amount (59.38 EUR / 0.5 = 118.76 EUR).
• This rounding difference during recalculation of the net rate is the cause of the issue and is currently as per design.

1. Understand that the calculation for records with 0.5 hours is as follows: Condition record maintained (118.75 EUR per 1 hour) * 0.5 = 59.375 EUR, which is rounded to 59.38 EUR.
2. Note that the net rate for 1 hour is then recalculated based on this amount (59.38 EUR / 0.5 = 118.76 EUR).
3. Be aware that this rounding difference during recalculation of the net rate is as per the system's design.
