3575281 - Error "GG146: Table ECMCT Does Not Exist or Is Set to Inactive" in SSCUI Define Consolidation Ledgers

Symptom

An error message is encountered while attempting to create a new ledger in the Self-Service Configuration UI (SSCUI) in Define Consolidation Ledgers. The error message states,

"Table ECMCT does not exist or is set to inactive. Message no. GG146."

"The table ECMCT is not known in Special Purpose Ledger or the inactive indicator is set"

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition Version

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the SSCUI in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud system.
  2. Attempt to create a new ledger in Define Consolidation Ledgers.
  3. Encounter the error message GG146 stating, "Table ECMCT does not exist or is set to inactive."

Cause

The issue arises due to the introduction of a new architecture/reporting logic. The consolidation ledger is only applicable if the initial release of SAP S/4HANA Cloud for group reporting is earlier than 1902 or if the new reporting logic has not been activated.

Resolution

Understand that the consolidation ledger is only applicable if the initial release of SAP S/4HANA Cloud for group reporting is earlier than 1902 or if the new reporting logic has not been activated.

With the new group reporting logic, the assignment of group currency and source ledger is now done in the version definition.

The SSCUI is no longer used in the Cloud system for this purpose. If a ledger is required, it should be defined in Define Versions.
