3575287 - Impossible to Download Microsoft Office® Template for Sales Quotes

When trying to download the Sales Quote in Microsoft Office®, the New Contract template is downloaded instead.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Application and User Management Work center.
2. Navigate to the Microsoft Office® Template Maintenance view.
3. Click on the Advanced Filter option and filter by Template Group "Sales Quote - Write Back."
4. Click Go.
5. Highlight any of the "Sales Quote - Write Back" templates and click the Download button.

The New Contract template is downloaded instead of the "Sales Quote - Write Back" template.

This situation occurs due to a system limitation.

To perform the work around the below steps are recommended:

1. Go to the New Business Work Center.
2. Navigate to Sales Quotes view.
3. Click the New button → Sales Quote from Microsoft Excel®.
4. The correct template will be downloaded from here.

For editing and re-uploading the template, we recommend uploading it as a new template to prevent overwriting the original version. The template contains embedded logic, and the column headers are mapped to specific fields. Incorrect modifications could lead to potential issues.

1. Go to Application and User Management Work Center
2. Navigate to Microsoft Office® Template Maintenance view.
3. Open the Advanced Filter and select Sales Quote - Write Back as the Template Group, then click Go.
4. Select the template corresponding to the required language.
5. Click Upload - New Template.
6. Choose the correct Excel Template for the specific language.
7. Once uploaded, click the Publish button.

By following these steps, the correct template for the Sales Quote can be downloaded and used.
