3575493 - I9 due date calculation issue for receipts - Onboarding

• When a new hire presents an I9 document receipt during I9 Section 2 and the employer submits I9 Section 2 with provided document receipt, the I9 Section 2 task remains pending until the new hire presents their real ID.
• The issue is that the employer is considered out of compliance after 3 days from the hire date even though USCIS states that the new hire has 90 days to provide their real ID.
• The system does not account for the 90-day window when a receipt is presented to determine if the employer is out of compliance; instead, it uses the 3-day window. The I9 Section 2 will most likely remain pending past the 3-day window until the hire presents their real ID doc, a document which they have up to 90 days to do so. However, the issue is that they are considered as out of compliance.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. New hire completes the I9 Section 1
2. During Section 2, new hire presents I9 document receipt and employer completes I9 Section 2 with presented doc receipts.
3. I9 Section 2 remains pending
4. System marks the I9 as being out of compliance after 3 days from date of hire even though new hire has 90 days according to USCIS to present a real ID.

This is a known issue and is fixed as part of internal defect OBX-37624

WORKAROUND: No known workaround at present.

PERMANENT FIX: OBX-37624

• The Engineering Team has introduced a code-fix for this issue and is targeting to deploy the fix by 2H 2511 Release.
• The Product Team is planning this compliance issue for a patch.
• Please monitor this KBA for the confirmed deployment date of the fix.
