Symptom

  • When we are trying to update the statistics on HANA table from HANA studio, a syntax error is returned. 
  • UPDATE STATISTICS FOR TABLE 'SCHEMA'.'TABLE';
    [Syntax Error]
    Could not execute 'UPDATE STATISTICS FOR TABLE 'SCHEMA'.'TABLE''
    SAP DBTech JDBC: [257]: sql syntax error: incorrect syntax near "TABLE": line 1 col 23 (at pos 23)
