3575878 - Issue with Packing Inbound Delivery via Handling Unit API in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

An IM inbound delivery is created for packing.
Use Handling Unit API to create HU with reference to the inbound delivery.
The Handling Unit is created but the reference document is not set.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Cause

When using Handling Unit API to create HU in inventory-managed storage locations, it is limited to creating standalone handling units.

Resolution

To create HU in Inventory-Managed storage location:

Use ODATA API Inbound delivery (A2X) to create handling units for an inbound delivery, or assign a non-assigned handling unit to an inbound delivery.
