3575997 - The Changes in Tax Code Do Not Cause The Sales Order Approval to be Triggered Again

Symptom

When the Tax Code is Changed in an Approved Sales Order, the Sales Order is not sent for Re-Approval.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign 2502

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Sales Order work center
  2. View: Sales Orders
  3. Search and edit ABC (ABC is the Sales Order ID which is already Approved by User)
  4. Navigate to Items tab and Taxes sub-tab.
  5. Change the Tax Code and save it.
  6. We can see it doesn't trigger for Sales Order re-approval.

Cause

Modifications on an approved sales order will require re-approval if any of the following conditions are met:

1. The new profit margin is lower than the old profit margin
OR
2. The new total discount is higher than the old total discount
OR
3. The new net value without freight is higher than the old net value without freight.

Resolution

This is the system standard behavior.

The sales order re-approval is not triggered when the tax amount is changed because none of the three conditions mentioned above are met.
