3576242 - Change the Storage Type Template in SAP Central Business Configuration SSCUI 102519

• The issue arises when attempting to create a new storage type using the Default Storage Type template in SAP Central Business Configuration.
• The process is blocked by an error, preventing the creation of a new storage type.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open Central Business Configuration.
2. Create the new storage type with template - Default storage type 
3. Getting Error: Check the proposed template for creation of storge type in warehouse.

Changes in Storage Type Templates

It's not possible to create the Storage Type as Default Storage Type with Configuration Activity: Create Storage Types Using Templates. 

This template is used by SAP Best Practices to create storage types that are needed for certain warehouse processes, such as:

• Goods receipt
• Goods issue
• Clarification
• Scrapping
• Production supply

However, a new storage type can be created with the required settings. A storage type other than the "Default Storage Type" template can be selected. Storage types can be created using templates in the configuration activity 102519-Create Storage Types Using Templates.
