Symptom

Getting the following error while trying to run a report "You are not authorized to execute this object"

Environment

  • SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
  • ABAP Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Access the ABAP Environment for development tenant.
  2. Search for a SAP report and open it.
  3. Click on Run as > ABAP Application (Console).
  4. Console shows "You are not authorized to execute this object".

Resolution

Report execution is not allowed in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, ABAP Environment
