Symptom
- When mapping string-valued attributes from a source system to a target system using SAP Identity Provisioning (IPS), the target system may have strict formatting requirements.
- For example, a username may only contain uppercase letters, numbers, underscores (_), periods (.), or hyphens (-).
- However, the input string (e.g., familyName) might contain special characters such as spaces, which are not allowed. This can lead to provisioning errors.
