When a custom theme is updated, the changes are not reflected in the stories using this theme which are based on Live data connection in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

SAP Analytics Cloud (2025.1.6)

1. Login to SAC
2. Open Story A (based on import connection)
3. Under Format Menu go to 'Themes'
4. Edit  the theme
5. Change 'Default Color Palettes'
6. Click Save > Save & Apply
7. Save the Story
8. Open Story B (Live) in Edit Mode which uses the same theme.
9. Warning Message Appears
10. Click on 'Yes I Agree'

Notice that theme preference does not get applied.

The fix will be implemented into SAP Analytics Cloud during our next quarterly release cycle QRC-2 2025.

Workaround:

Manually adjust the changes in theme.
