3576812 - Error "Function module does not have E_SUBRC parameter" (QM403) when assigning function module to follow-up action

It is attempted to assign a function module or BAPI to a follow-up action at below customizing:

Transaction QCC0 ---> Quality inspection ---> Inspection Lot Completion ---> Define Follow-Up Actions

Or

Transaction QCC2 ---> Notification Processing ---> Additional Notification Functions ---> Define Follow-Up Actions for Tasks

But error message "Function module does not have E_SUBRC parameter" (message number: QM403) is raised.
