How to add custom Reason for Status for the Opportunity Status Won or Lost.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the New Business work center.
2. Select the Opportunities view.
3. Select an Opportunity in Status In Process.
4. Click on the Change Status button.
5. Select either Won or Lost.

You would like to add a custom Reason for the Status other than the Reasons provide by standard in SAP ByDesign.

You can add a custom Reason for Status for the Opportunity Status Won or Lost in the Fine Tuning Activity Opportunities under Maintain Reasons and then assign the newly created Reason Code to the Available Status Won or Lost in the Assign Reasons.

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Select the Implementation Projects view.
3. Select your implementation Project and click on Open Activity List.
4. Navigate to the Fine-Tune step.
5. Open the Fine Tuning Activity Opportunities.
6. Click on the Maintain Reasons hyperlink.
7. You can add new values for Reason Code via the Add Row button.
8. Please note that the Reason Code must start with Z.
9. Once you maintained the new Reason Code click on Save and Close.
10. Click on the Assign Reasons hyperlink.
11. You can now assign the newly created Reason Code to the Available Status Won or Lost e.g. if you want to assign it to the Status Lost:
12. Select the Status Lost.
13. In the Assign Reason to StatusLost section click on the Add Row button.
14. Select the newly created Reason Code from the drop down list.
15. Click on Save and Close.
