3576963 - Output Details grayed out/uneditable in temporary billing document - S/4Hana Public Cloud

After creating a billing document in Create Billing Documents (Fiori), you wish to change the Output Details (For example, the recipient's email address) before saving it. However, the fields To, Cc and Bcc appear "grayed out" (uneditable). 

• S/4Hana Cloud Public Edition

1. Create a billing document;
2. See the temporary billing document (it can be recognized by the prefix TMP);
3. Go to Output Items tab;
4. Click on Output Details;
5. See the fields grayed out

According to the app documentation this is a standard behavior as it is not possible to edit temporary documents (TMP). It reads: "You cannot edit a newly created temporary billing document until you have saved it, which converts it to a persistent billing document. Once saved, you can edit the billing document".

However, another feature of the app is that the system automatically posts all billing documents that you create to accounting and triggers output. Therefore, if you do not choose to automatically post billing documents, you must manually post your billing documents using the Manage Billing Documents app where you can edit the email addresses before it as well. Alternatively, you can create the billing document using the app VF01.
