3577124 - Job Monitor not auto-refreshing Data Actions or Multi Actions in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• After the recent SAP Analytics Cloud tenant update, the new Job Monitor does not auto-refresh the progress of Data Actions (DAs) or Multi Actions (MAs).
• Users have to manually refresh the Job Monitor to view the progress of their logic calculations.
• This auto-refresh feature was functioning correctly in the old Data Action Monitor.

SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2025.Q1 and higher

1. Open the Job Monitor in SAP Analytics Cloud.
2. Run a Data Action or Multi Action.
3. Observe that the status of the job does not automatically update.
4. Manually refresh the Job Monitor and the status is updated.

This is a behavior change.

In order to address the performance issues that arise from the frequent use of notification services in auto-updating, it was decided that the Job Monitor will not support auto-refresh. This decision was made after thorough performance tests. The Job Monitor is designed to handle Multi-Action and Data Action, as well as other types of Jobs planned in future, which generate a significant number of notifications. 

On the other hand, the Data Action Monitor only supports data actions, so it doesn't face the same issue with notifications. 

We are planning to enhance this feature, for example, including a checkbox for automatic refresh. However, it won't be available in the immediate future and current there is no timeline for this yet.
