Environment
SAP SuccessFactors HCM suite
Reproducing the Issue
- Log in to SAP SuccessFactors.
- Launch Joule
- Ask to Add comments to performance goal
- choose to which user you want the comment to be added
- Attempt to perform the transaction - Add comments to performance goals.
- -> You will get a permission related error.
Cause
The issue arises due to the absence of comment configuration in the Goal Plan in your SuccessFactors environment
Resolution
You just need to ensure that comment is configured in Goal Plan [Reference: Help Guide → 🔗 Use Cases Supported in Joule / Enabling Goal Comments ]
Note: Users must have access permission to the goal plan template based on which goals are created and edit permission to the comments field in the goal plan template. For more information, refer to Role-Based Permissions for Goal Management and Enabling Goal Comments.
We should expect improvements in handling the error so it becomes clearer than a permission-related generic error.
