3577410 - While using clearing API 'Journal Entry – Clearing (Asynchronous)', error "Item Cleared in the meantime" appears

Symptom

You are using the API 'Journal Entry – Clearing (Asynchronous)' to clear posted items either with or without residual posting and you get an error: "Item **** **** ********** *** cleared in the meantime"

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2502

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Run clearing payload with API 'Journal Entry – Clearing (Asynchronous)'
  2. Check results in 'Message Dashboard' app
  3. Error "Item **** **** ********** *** cleared in the meantime" - example: 

Cause

Insufficient company code information has been given to the payload in the <APARItems> section.

Resolution

  1. Check your payload.
  2. Ensure that the company code information has been given to the line items being cleared in the <APARItems> section of the payload.
  3. Retest the API processing again.
