3577427 - Onboarding checklist task not triggering for new hires – Onboarding

After onboarding is initiated and the New Hire Data Review step is completed, the Checklist task is not created or does not appear for the new hire.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Initiate onboarding for a candidate.
2. Complete the New Hire Data Review task.
3. Navigate to the Onboarding Dashboard and observe that the Checklist task is absent.

The Checklist task is configured in the Onboarding Program but has no items added to it, or configuration changes were saved but not yet synchronized to the database. Either condition prevents the task from being triggered.

1. Navigate to Admin Center > Manage Onboarding and Offboarding Tasks.
2. Open the Onboarding Program assigned to the affected candidate.
3. Locate the Checklist section and verify that at least one checklist item is configured. If the section is empty, add the required items and save.
4. If items are already configured but the task is still not triggering, run the MDF Object to DB Sync job: navigate to Provisioning > your company > Company Settings > MDF Object to DB Sync and run it.
5. After the sync completes, initiate a new onboarding process for a test candidate to confirm the Checklist task now appears.
6. For the originally affected candidate, cancel and re-initiate the onboarding process if a re-test is required.
