• "An application error occurred during the execution, so the job couldn't be completed. Please try again later, or notify Product Support if the issue keeps occurring" error is shown

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Position Management

1. Go to Scheduled Job Manager
2. Click on details of Automated Position Matrix Relationships to Job Relationships Synchronization job
3. Download result
4. See error occurred

• This error occurs as the job picks up future effective dated Job Information records without any valid check for employment status, event and event reason fields
• Such records that contain invalid field values are picked up for processing and cause an exception when Job Information is being fetched

• These fields should not have invalid values and are invalid records that should be skipped for job processing.
• SAP Engineering team have confirmed this issue will be fixed in the H1 2025 release in which such invalid records will no longer be processed
