3578058 - Production order/process order could not be created due to error "no production version found"

While creating a production order, the error "no production version found" occurs even though all the required data has been maintained.

The BOM usage 1 (as an example) is properly maintained in material master data. However, the "no production version found" error can be caused by the following :

• BOM usage 1 does not maintain a "+" under Prod. 
• BOM usage 1 has a "+" under Prod, but there is no corresponding entry for the Selection ID in configuration activity 106725 - Define Order of Priority for BOM Usages. For process order, the default Selection ID is 40. For production order, the default Selection ID is 01. 

• Add "+" under Prod for BOM Usage 1 in configuration activity 101915 - Define BOM Usages. 
  
• Make sure that there is a corresponding entry for the Selection ID:
  • Add a new item for the Selection ID 01, selection priority 1, and Usage 1 for production order creation.
  • Add a new item for the Selection ID 40, selection priority 1, and Usage 1 for process order creation.
