Symptom
The DRTM Master Data Purge job remains in "In Progress" status and does not complete as expected.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors HCM Core
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to Data Retention Management.
- Select DRTM Master Data Purge.
- Submit the purge request.
- Go to Purge Request Monitor.
- Observe that the purge request remains in processing status and does not complete.
Cause
This behavior occurs when the system job threshold is reached, which can happen if multiple purge jobs are created simultaneously. When the threshold is exceeded, new jobs may remain stuck in processing and not be completed.
Resolution
In some cases, the purge process may complete automatically after a certain amount of time once system load decreases.
To prevent this issue from recurring, it is recommended to:

Avoid submitting multiple purge jobs at the same time

Stagger the creation of purge jobs, allowing existing jobs to complete before submitting new ones
This approach helps prevent reaching the job execution threshold.
