3578727 - Unable to Connect SAP Process Manager to LeanIX Integration

Symptom

  • Encountering issues while attempting to create an integration with SAP LeanIX instance.
  • Receiving errors such as "LeanIX API synchronisation errors Could not retrieve input source fields from SAP".
  • Encountering an HTTP failure response when attempting to map LeanIX fields to the dictionary.

Resolution

Check the basic requirements mentioned on this page, and ensure you have set up an integration account in Signavio with an ‘API Edition’ license. For a detailed guide, see Setup in SAP Signavio

You can also check the following steps for the LeanIX integration:

1. Set up a user (a real user with password created in SAP Signavio)
To establish a connection between LeanIX and Signavio, you'd require a technical user, which needs to be invited into the workspace. This user should be an existing email account, so you can receive e-mails - i.e. for the password reset.
With the technical user is not possible to log into the system over SSO. Create user directly in Signavio user management, and reset password, or invite it, and you will receive an activation e-mail. Please follow the process described in this e-mail.

2. A technical user doesn't require a group in IDP (SSO)
If you apply for a user by your IT, you don't need to add the user to any IDP groups, as the user cannot use the SSO login. You'd only need a valid and working e-mail address, to receive e-mails. Make sure, you will have access to the inbox.

3. License assignment
There is no need to use different license types for the technical user. This user requires the API Edition only.

4. Assign access rights (as few as possible - admin is not necessary)
Depending on your needs, assign the required access rights. You can restrict rights to particular folders and models, or to Dictionary categories. The user doesn't necessarily require administrators rights.
