3578819 - Down Payment Processing Not Supported for Service Contracts in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

The system does not allow the creation of a down payment with reference to a Service Contract.

When attempting this, the following error message is displayed:

"Can't bill SD documents of type SVTB using billing type FAZ."

This behavior is by design.

Down payment processing is not supported for Service Contracts in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Currently, it is not possible to create or process down payments for Service Contracts.
