3579103 - Advanced Intercompany - Transit Plant empty when entering an item without quantity

Symptom

While creating an item for a sales order for advanced intercompany sales without quantity, the system gives a warning “Enter Order Quantity” and if the order quantity is entered and then enter is pressed, the Transit Plant (on item detail, shipping tab) is not filled.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2502

Reproducing the Issue

Logon to the homepage with role SAP_BR_INTERNAL_SALES_REP assigned:

Open app Create Sales Orders – VA01.
Create a sales order for advanced intercompany, enter the material, no quantity and the plant of the delivering company.
Press [Enter].
You receive a warning message "Enter Order Quantity".
Do not press [Enter].
Add the order quantity directly and press [Enter].
Navigate to item detail, tab Shipping, and see that the Transit Plant is not visible.

Note: The issue could also occur with a different type of warning or error message.

Cause

The behavior has been present on the system since the release of CE2502.

Prerequisites:

Advanced Intercompany is enabled for the item category.
Item Category has incompletion procedure with “Order Quantity” (KWMENG) and “Warning” is flagged.

Resolution

As a workaround, to solve the issue carry out the following steps:

Change the plant to another plant.
Change the plant back to an intercompany plant, then the transit will be determined correctly.

The fix is planned to be delivered with CE2502 HFC6 which is scheduled to reach the system on 16.03.2025.
