3579181 - When creating a SQL Import Connection with a Cloud Agent running on Linux, none of the Database options appear in the list in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

When creating a SQL Import Connection in SAC after setting up the Cloud Connector, Cloud Agent, and SAC as per the help documentation, none of the database options specified in the driverconfig.properties file show up in the list of available database options.  This occurs even though the Cloud Connector, Cloud Agent, and SAC Data Source Configuration all appear to be correct.

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud 2025.1.1

Cause

This issue can occur if the driverconfig.properties file was created in windows before being transferred to the Linux system where the Cloud Agent is running.  When a file is created in windows, it is given windows EOL (End of Line) characters which are not compatible with Linux.

Resolution

The driverconfig.properties file needs to either be created in linux so it has linux EOL characters, or it needs to be modified to have Linux EOL characters before being transferred from the Windows system to the Linux system.  This can be done in Notepad++ using the Edit->EOL Conversion menu option.
