3579197 - Code List Restriction Is Not Applied to Filters

Symptom

It's not possible to restrict values via Code List Restriction for fields that are in advanced search.

Environment

SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open Navigation menu.
  2. Go to Guided selling view.
  3. Open advanced search.
  4. All the values are shown for a field that is restricted via code list restriction.

 

Resolution

Code list Restriction is not supported in Advanced Search and other ‘read-only’ scenarios. Code list Restrictions are applicable only for new instances. Existing instances will have combinations which are not valid as per current Code list Restriction. Users should be able to search and open old instances.
