You can created a Filter Variable data type Date on top of a dimension in Analytical Model. When you preview the Analytical Model and try to use a date of the Filter Variable, you found the F4 help provides a value help selection of single values instead of displaying the calendar.
The same behavior is observed in SAC if you use this Analytical Model as source of a story.
