Symptom

  • In the field mapping step, the target fields are locked in Model Your Migration Objects - Migration Object Modeler app.
  • Unable to perform field mapping.
  • Source fields cannot be mapped to the target structure.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open Model Your Migration Objects - Migration Object Modeler app.
  2. Add the source field in the source structure.
  3. Go to field mapping stage.

Cause

Fields are not enabled for the usage.

Resolution

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition end user can only add fields that got released by the API owning LOB. Fields that are not enabled to be used by consumer as showing the lock indicator. Refer the documentation.
