3579620 - Cannot launch PDF content in Android Mobile App

Symptom

When launching PDF content in the mobile app, the following error is displayed: This file cannot be downloaded because there is an error in the URL setup. Please contact your administrator.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log into the mobile app >
  2. Go to Learning >
  3. Launch any item that contains PDF content >
  4. Encounter a blank screen with the error message: This file cannot be downloaded because there is an error in the URL setup. Please contact your administrator.

Cause

Special characters are not supported in content URLs. See KBA 2768097 - Supported Characters in iContent File and Folder Names for SuccessFactors Learning  

Resolution

Remove special characters from the content URLs to resolve the issue.
