3579835 - Unable to change the length of the custom MDF pick list field in SuccessFactors

Users are unable to modify the character length of a custom picklist field configured within an MDF object in SAP SuccessFactors

• SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
• Metadata Framework

1. Go to Configure Object Definitions
2. Select an MDF Object that contains a Picklist field type
3. Change the Maximum Length value for the Picklist field
4. Save the changes
5. Notice that the old value is displayed in the Maximum Length field

This is a system-wide limitation that applies uniformly across all field types, not just those created using the Metadata Framework (MDF).

The user interface (UI) character length of fields, including custom MDF picklist fields, cannot be altered.
