3579973 - UI Dump Raised when changing KUT field visibility on OWL

Symptom

Dump being raised after setting setting visibility of KUT field.

Environment

  • SAP Cloud for Customer
  • SAP Business ByDesign
  • SAP Cloud Application Studio

Reproducing the Issue

Issue can be raised in any business object, take Account as an example.

  1. Open Customer work center.
  2. Account work center view.
  3. Dump raised on OWL view.

Cause

A field is added to advanced search (filter), however it was not added to the main screen (result list). Due to this the query will run with a parameter which will not return any result. this causes a system dump.

Similarly changing the visibility or hiding a field where that field is also parameter in a BO query,  then this dump will also occur.

Resolution

Remove the KUT CT adjusting the visibility.
